Our members are movers and shakers. From landing new jobs to earning well-deserved awards, NACAC members were busy in the third quarter of 2018.

See who was honored by the association at this year’s national conference and keep reading to learn about the accomplishments of other NACAC members.

Awards and Honors

Ellen J. Rostker, co-director of college counseling at Rochelle Zell Jewish High School (IL), received the Patricia A. Kasowski Recognition Award from the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling. The honor recognizes individuals for their meritorious service, leadership, and service to the profession.

Jennifer Satalino, director of The College Place — Oregon, received The Golden W. The award honors those who have performed services above and beyond the call of duty for Wilson High School (OR).

Members on the Move

Maria Gracia Asayag has been promoted to director of multicultural recruitment at Columbia University (NY). She previously served as a senior assistant director of admissions at Columbia University (NY).

Ray Brown is now vice president for enrollment at Valparaiso University (IN). He previously was dean of admission at Texas Christian University.

Nikki Desgrosellier is now the founding dean of college counseling at Mansueto High School (IL). She previously served as a college counselor at UIC College Prep (IL).

Eric D. Estelle is now dean of college services at Achievement First Hartford High School (CT). He previously served as a college counselor at YES Prep Southwest (TX).

Phyllis Clemensen Halton is now a high school counselor at the American School of Bombay (India). She previously worked at PCH Associates (Brazil).

Jennifer Lancaster is now a counselor at New Garden Friends School (NC). She previously was a teacher at the school.

Lori V. Lincoln is now college and career coordinator at Roosevelt High School (DC). She previously served as the director of college and career services at the Washington Mathematics Science Technology Public Charter High School (DC).

Alicia Linsey is now the K-12 director guidance for Bedford Public Schools (MA). She previously served as a school counselor at Lexington High School (MA).

Stephanie Levenson is now vice president for enrollment management at John Carroll University (OH). She previously served as executive director of admission at Elmhurst College (IL).

Candice Mackey is now a college counselor at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (CA). She was previously a counselor at Culver City High School (CA).

Kathryn Moody has been promoted to the head of the guidance and school counseling department at Lynnfield High School (MA). She previously served as a school counselor at Lynnfield.

David Weisbord is now director of college counseling at Winchester Thurston School (PA). He previously served as associate director of college counseling at George School (PA).

Hot Off the Presses

Kathleen Anne Glynn-Sparrow, co-director of college counseling at McLean School (MD), recently released Sex, Drugs and the S.A.T.: Getting out of High School and Getting in to College.
