The publication, which offers an overview of coursework, was developed by the Council of National School Counseling and College Access Organizations.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n\u201cThe report aims to strengthen the capacity for college advising \u2014 a key driver of access, particularly in underserved schools,\u201d according to a press release. \u201cThrough its research examining preservice training, the Council seeks to advance the conversation about core competencies required to serve professionally in the role of school counselor or college access advisor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>NACAC is one of nine members of Council.
