{"id":28,"date":"2016-10-21T22:03:41","date_gmt":"2016-10-21T22:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nacacadmitted.wpengine.com\/wordpress\/?p=28"},"modified":"2017-01-19T12:09:20","modified_gmt":"2017-01-19T17:09:20","slug":"survey-hiring-on-the-rise-for-college-grads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/admitted.nacacnet.org\/wordpress\/index.php\/2016\/10\/21\/survey-hiring-on-the-rise-for-college-grads\/","title":{"rendered":"Survey: Hiring on the Rise for College Grads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good news is on the horizon: US employers plan to amp up their hiring in the coming months, and they\u2019re looking for college grads.<\/p>\n<p>Hiring of degree holders is expected to increase by 23 percent in 2016-17, according to a <a href=\"http:\/\/msutoday.msu.edu\/_\/pdf\/assets\/2016\/recruiting-trends-2016-17-hiring-outlook.pdf\">recruiting trends study<\/a> conducted by Michigan State University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur report shows that the hiring of college graduates has been moving at warp speed for the past two years,\u201d Phil Gardner, survey author and director of the university\u2019s Collegiate Employment Research Institution, <a href=\"http:\/\/msutoday.msu.edu\/news\/2016\/college-job-market-to-continue-torrid-pace\/\">said in a press release<\/a>. \u201cAnd signs in the early fall of 2016 point again to another explosive year of hiring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The survey included insights from more than 4,000 employers of various sizes representing industries including education, finance, manufacturing, nonprofits, health care, social services, and professional, business and scientific services.<\/p>\n<p>Altogether, survey respondents said they planned to hire 107,200 degree holders in the coming year.
