Instead,\u00a0the game changers include\u00a0establishing a deep connection with a mentor, taking on a sustained academic project and playing a significant part in a campus organization,\u201d Bruni wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat all of these reflect are engagement and commitment, which I\u2019ve come to think of as overlapping muscles that college can and must be used to build.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n<p><em>Ashley Dobson is NACAC\u2019s communications manager for content and social media.
