The publication is being released in conjunction with International Education Week, a joint initiative of the US Department of State and the US Department of Education that runs through Friday.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In 2014, roughly one-fifth of US counselors reported receiving visits from college admission officers representing institutions outside the US, according to NACAC survey data.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s crucial for students to have access to good information as they research college options,\u201d said Joyce Smith, NACAC\u2019s chief executive officer. \u201cAs an organization that focuses on access to higher education and expanding options so that students can find the best fit, NACAC recognizes that some students may want to consider institutions outside the US.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Countries profiled in the guide include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
