Is your college application essay about money, work, social class, or another related topic?<\/p>\n

If so,\u00a0The New York Times<\/em>\u00a0wants to hear from you.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat qualifies? A description of your job at McDonald\u2019s is welcome, as are musings on what it\u2019s like to have no earthly idea what you want to be when you grow up,\u201d\u00a0the paper notes in its call for submissions.<\/a> \u201c\u2026Reckoning with wealth (yours or that of others) is welcome, as are all attempts to wrestle with its absence and the impact of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

In each of the last five\u00a0years, the paper has published essays penned by incoming college freshmen.<\/p>\n

Anyone who wants to send videos, Instagram, or Snapchat stories is welcome to do so, but not including multimedia won\u2019t hurt your chances at publication.<\/p>\n

The deadline for submission is April 25.<\/p>\n
