{"id":1606,"date":"2017-11-08T11:31:30","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T16:31:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nacacadmitted.wpengine.com\/wordpress\/?p=1606"},"modified":"2018-03-22T11:03:24","modified_gmt":"2018-03-22T15:03:24","slug":"list-shows-where-students-can-self-report-test-scores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/admitted.nacacnet.org\/wordpress\/index.php\/2017\/11\/08\/list-shows-where-students-can-self-report-test-scores\/","title":{"rendered":"List Shows Where Students Can Self-Report Test Scores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an effort to make the college application process more affordable, a growing number of US colleges and universities now allow students to self-report their test scores.<\/p>\n<p>With help from counselors and students, <em>The Princeton Review<\/em> is tracking the trend. <a href=\"https:\/\/princetonreview.blog\/2017\/11\/03\/can-you-self-report-sat-and-act-scores\/\">A list of institutions<\/a> that accept self-reported scores is posted on the company\u2019s blog.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe College Board and ACT cover the cost of sending scores to four institutions for any student who designates the recipient colleges within nine and five days, respectively, of taking the exam,\u201d the blog post notes. After that, students must pay extra to transmit their scores to schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor low-income students, these fees can act as microbarriers that lead students to apply to fewer schools or no schools whatsoever,\u201d according to the blog. \u201cColleges and universities are increasingly aware of this problem and are starting to change their practices in order to make it less expensive to apply.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than 80 colleges are currently included on the list.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPractices are changing rapidly when it comes to self-reporting test scores,\u201d <em>The Princeton Review<\/em> notes. \u201cThis list is not comprehensive.
